Before you will enable the the XML connection with Expedia please be so kind to check:

1. If the Maximum Occupancy option for dorm rooms is set up to 1
Each Room Type which is a DORM, must have "Maximum Occupancy 1". Otherwise, you are selling 1 bed to more than one person.

2. If all the prices in the pricing settings of your private rooms are set up correctly.

Expedia is the ONLY portal which allows selling the same room with a different price to a different number of people.

It means that when HostelSystem uploads prices for DOUBLE ROOM, it will send 2 values to Expedia, not one as to all other portals.

It will be:

- the price of the room: when the room is occupied by 1 person

- the price of the room: when the price is occupied by 2 people

Therefore, please make sure that the prices for PRIVATE ROOMS which are sending the prices to Expedia are set up correctly for each number of people:

Please make sure that you understand how the pricing works, as there are options to set up prices PER PERSON and PER ROOM. If your prices are not set up properly, you may sell your rooms below the wanted price.

3. If you have previously set up your Contacted Rooms properly.

If you have so called "contracted rooms" in Expedia, it means that there are some beds, which should be sold ONLY at Booking.com.

Therefore, the number of beds which was "contracted" with Expedia cannot be sold in other means.

The number of the contracted rooms is seen in the Expedia PArtner Central settings under the option of “Base”
If you do not have contracted Rooms in Expedia the base value should be set up to 0.

4. Expedia mostly works in USD. 

Please note that currency set up in synchronization must be the same as currency in the back office.

As for most properties Expedia central works only in USD, therefore you must synchronize prices in USD.

In Manage / Online Portals / Expedia / Room Map please select USD in the currency column.
