Difference between Time and Hours in Timesheet : HostelSystem

In the Timesheet, you will see two columns, TIME and HOURS, which show different information. Why are the values not the same?

TIME shows information in format HH: MM (hours and minutes)

HOUR shows information in hours

For example:

11:29 in TIME column means 11 hours and 29 minutes

which is 11 HOURS and 48 part of an hour (29 minutes = 48% of an hour).
